With all the hype surrounding the flavour of this product, I wanted to give it a try and see how it compares to my staple, Muscle Milk. I tried the Strawberries and Cream variety.

The ingredient profile is pretty good, with cross-flow, cold infused whey protein concentrate and isolate as the principal proteins, and a small amount of quality lipids (including CLA and flax seed oil). However, the one thing that bothered me about Myofusion was that it contains xanthan gum, cellulose, and carrageenan. This contributes to its thick, milk shake-like consistency, and seems to mask the fact that the taste itself is just average. It also makes me feel full without a good feeling that I've just had something delicious.

Overall, it's not bad value for money, but I prefer something that tastes better and doesn't contain thickening agents.

I'm usually not very picky when it comes to protein shakes, i'll take anything from the cheapest stuff to the highest quality as long as im getting what i need, but i think i may have found my favorite protein shake EVER. Gaspari myofusion in strawberry is straight up the absolute best tasting product i have ever had. It has a nice thickness to it when mixed with skim milk and even some decent thickness with water which does wonders for lowering my appetite (very helpful on a cut). I wish i could just sit here and drink through the tubs i have all day long, but thats unpractical, either way, its the best tasting shake i've had, or atleast very close to allmax isoflex pb, but it is definately up there

Wow - I've never been this impressed by a Vanilla-flavored supplement before. This tastes more like cake batter than Muscle Milk's Cake Batter does. I'm not a fan of vanilla, but I would definitely purchase this in the future. Extra points for being an extended-release blend and mixing up nice and thick.

Double Chocolate

I usually don't go for "just" chocolate supplements (UP2 Chocolate PB makes everything else taste bland), but after the Vanilla, I grabbed a tub of the Double Chocolate Myofusion to see how it compared. I am nowhere near disappointed, this is phenomenal. This really does have double the chocolate, it is rich and deep, very fudge-like. If you haven't checked out Myofusion, I'd recommend rectifying that situation ASAP.

Strawberries and Cream

Once again, Gaspari has delivered with a flavor that normally I don't enjoy. After some bad strawberry whey experiences in the past, this was a pleasure. At first I Thought it was a bit too sweet, but then the creaminess kicked in and it was all over. Gourmet taste, sustained-release blend, great stuff.

Chocolate Peanut Butter

For years, I've been waiting for a protein powder that had the delicious taste of UP2 but a nutritional profile that was a little heavier on the protein side. And today I got it. While this doesn't have the same rich, fudge-like chocolate taste of chocolate Myofusion, the CPB has a balanced flavoring and tastes so much like UP2 it's ridiculous, except for the unpleasant chemical aftertaste.

Banana Perfection

Pretentious name? Maybe, but no one is going to call Gaspari out on this one because it's awesome. Great, smooth flavor, a definite banana cream milkshake taste. Tastes a lot like Iron Tek's Banana, except a bit better - again similar to UP2. The flavor is a little light though, and doesn't stand up to very much water.

When it comes to quality protein powders, very few names come off your head. Optimum has always been one of those brands whose protein is great quality at a great price. Well, there is a new kid on the block whose named is Myofusion. It comes from the great minds at Gaspari who have claimed 2009 to be their year. Mitotropin has already came out and there are more products down the pipeline for Gaspari. First off, the price for 2lb for this product is amazing. You get 25 servings for 22 dollars. Wow, amazing considering what is in it. You got whey protein concentrate, whey isolate, and some other protein sources in here.Myofusion can be used anytime during your day and can be made into a very reliable protein sludge or brownie. Pick it up!! The taste is superb.
