Written by soundcheck129 - #1 reviewer - View all my reviews At first I thought this was a meal replacement, but it's more of an extended release protein powder; the two-scoop serving size makes it seem like more than it is. If you use just one scoop, you'll get 30 grams of protein, .5 grams of fat and 2.5 grams of carbohydrates in 135 calories, which is comparable, if not better, than many protein powders. Pro Complex does have added extras, such as vitamins and minerals, which most protein powders don't. In addition, there's a heavy dose of BCAAs, particularly leucine, which is nice because new research seems to come out all the time about leucine's benefits. It's odd that this doesn't contain casein, though it does have a few forms of whey and egg protein. The taste isn't very deep but it's not highly sweet either. There's a tiny bit of chemical aftertaste but nothing major. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful

Written by Rodzilla - Top 50 reviewer - View all my reviews Taste 3.5/5 It's definetely banana. I tried it in my oatmeal with water, and cottage cheese, both turned out quite nicely. If you like banana flavors, you will like this. I just don't think I'm much of a banana fan, if you are, the rating will most likely be higher. Ingredient Profile 5/5 wow, optimum really outdid themselves. This is from the back of the Package...Not the site.Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate,Egg Albumen, Micellar Casein, Glutamine Peptides, L-Leucine, Whey Peptides, L-isoleucine, L-Valine) little bit of maltodextrin, but only 4.5g of carbs per scoop. Price 3.5/5 We all know prices are going up all over the place. If you use one scoop of Pro complex, which is all I think you would need, you still get 30g of protein and you can stretch it out a bit further, price is fair, but not great. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Written by History in Effect - Top 5 reviewer - View all my reviews Profile: See above for that good stuff. It has a great make-up. No problems with it at all. Mixing: Instant mixing ladies and gentleman. I like to use just a little more milk in mines. Taste: Banana Cream is heavenly, but Rich Milk Chocolate rules supreme. ON knows how to win hearts. Price: 28 servings at $89.99 on ON website, but less at GNC and online retailers. Overall: If the money is right, then go ahead and pick it up. It fills you up, satisfies your taste buds, helps in growth, and mixes with ease. It can pack on pounds. Results 1 - 4 of 4 |
