0 forum posts We started with a concept. How could we make the best protein supplement in the industry even better? Xtreme Formulations™ is already the first and only company to our knowledge to not only disclose our proprietary casein to whey protein ratios in our already famous Ultra Peptide™, Xtreme Formulations™ is also the only company to our knowledge to include over 50% of the protein in Ultra Peptide™ from micellar casein (another industry first). We wanted to create an all inclusive meal, a super protein if you will, specifically targeting the acquisition of lean muscle tissue! While we refuse to stray from our already proven and disclosed 51/49 ratio of pure undenatured low temperature processed micellar casein to ceramic microfiltered whey isolate for the protein component, we’ve decided to include several other anabolic goodies to create the ultimate super gainer! No compromises, all business! Designer EFA’s to the Rescue! For several years we’ve wanted to include essential fatty acids (EFA’s) in our protein powder. They’re great for overall health, and very anabolic to boot. So what’s not to like? Well you’ve heard the good, now’s time for the downright ugly. Shelf stability is a MAJOR issue. In other words, if the EFA’s in your protein powder are not shelf stable, your protein powder starts going rancid the minute you open the bottle. Xtreme Formulations™ simply wasn’t willing to go there, we would never compromise the integrity of our product by using non-shelf stable EFA’s in anything we do. Ever. The last thing someone trying to build muscle needs, make that anyone for that matter, is a powder going rancid on them before they’re even halfway through with the bottle. A Star is Born! Xtreme Formulations™ worked diligently for over 2 years with manufacturers devising a methodology to provide EFA’s in a powder, yet maintain rock solid, iron clad shelf stability no matter what. No compromises here! Finally, after monumental efforts, a manufacturing breakthrough evolved and we are proud to announce a pioneering effort in bringing you the world’s first sunflower oil powder encapsulated in caseinate. That’s correct, the EFA’s are actually encapsulated in caseinate and that protects them from the harsh realities known as our atmosphere which wreak total complete havoc on typical cheap inferior unprotected EFA powders. We didn’t stop there. We know having the best protein gainer anabolic superfood in the world means very little if the taste isn’t appealing. Once again we work in perfect symphony with only the finest gourmet flavor houses to bring you six award winning flavors that will leave you wondering if this is a protein shake or a $25 dessert at the finest restaurant in town! Being A Lean Gainer means being more than just a protein powder, you need the EFA’s and you need to think of this as a whole meal. This includes macronutrients and micronutrients. Therefore, just as Mother Nature devised with her infinite wisdom, we include a maintenance dose of creatine monohydrate, just like what’s found in a typical serving of red meat. Also for soothing of the gut and hydration we chose to use a functional amount of rice oligodextrin, as the better your gut health, the better your gains! All in all Xtreme Formulations™ believes Ultra Peptide 2.0 is the finest protein gainer in its class. We believe once you try it, experience the taste and results you wont have reason to go back. Written by soundcheck129 - #1 reviewer - View all my reviews A truly unique blend of slow and fast digesting proteins, namely whey isolate and micellar casein, UP 2.0 is great any time of day. In addition, it contains MCTs, which are fats that actually help boost your metabolism and immune system. Mixability is excellent, it makes a nice, thick shake. By far the best part, though, is the flavor. Strawberry seems to be a tricky flavor to nail down, but XF hit it right on the head. UP 2.0 tastes quite gourmet, like a rich, delicious milkshake that you'd never suspect to have 18 grams of high quality protein included. Chocolate Peanut Butter is unimaginably awesome. I found it hard to believe this would taste as good as people said it would but DAMN. While eating this, I was sure I had accidentally scooped in brownie batter instead. Great fudgy, brownie-esque taste with a nice, well balanced peanut butter taste blended in. Simply incredible, this narrowly overtakes Raspberry Lemonade Cytofuse as the best tasting supplement I've ever had. Thankfully, the end of the year also brings with it Christmas - and I hope to find some UP 2.0 under my tree. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Written by veeshmack - Top 5 reviewer - View all my reviews For the product itself, i tried PB Choc and Banana Cream. For me banana cream took the win easily. Using milk, it mixed easily and tasted fantastic. As for PB Choc, it did not mix well at all, it tended to clump at the bottom creating a goo which was not very enjoyable to deal with when cleaning or trying to get the most of the product. if you are a casein user, this product is solid and tastes great 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Written by vtwizzie - Top 10 reviewer - View all my reviews The ingredient profile is highlighted by Micellar Casein protein, which is a slower digesting protein ideal for use in sustaining an anti-catabolic muscle state. The other ingredients include WPI and healthy fats, which only boost the quality of this product. Overall UP 2.0 is worth the money - if you're willing to shell it out, as it is a little on the expensive end when it comes to protein powders. Best bet is to find a deal somewhere online, and stock up because this is a solid powder that can be used anytime, made by a reputable company. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Written by Rodzilla - Top 50 reviewer - View all my reviews -It is not the same as taking a chocolate protein powder, and mixing a tablespoon of PB in. If you want that..take choco 1.0 + T of PB - It is more like a Choco PB frozen desert taste. I guess you could say artificial PB...but in a tasty way like a tub of commercially processed chocolate peanut butter swirl ice cream. Consistency...10/10 I wouldn't call it thick, it poured out of my blender bottle relatively easy, it is however very creamy..not I'm drinking coffee creamers creamy, just good creamy. Ingredients...9.5/10 -Micellar Casein/whey protein isolate..it does not get any better. -Sunflower oil - I trust Customizer used this because it tasted better than the rest of the oils -Sodium Caseinate - not sure why this is in here, but it isn't high on the list, so I'm not upset by it Edit:^CCC explained to my uneducated ass just why the Sodium Caseinate is in the formula. rating gets a +.5 -MCT's - I don't really see the point with how far down they are on the list. I'm guessing they are the one gram of sat. fat. -CM - a little cell volumization before bed can be good thing note, although I am being critical at some aspects, this is still far ahead of most of the other formulas on the market Macros...10/10 -18g of protein was a great call, this makes it very easy to fit into ones macros, you can add it to milk for more without having an unnecessary amount of protein...sorry you break it to some of you bros, but there is an upper limit to protein consumption just like every other macro! -5g carbs, friendly for the low carbers out there, and again you can add stuff in. I will probably have some with oatmeal tomorrow, and I also want to try it with SuperCARB because I hear that is the best combination going. -9g fat, very reasonable, and great for when you are on the go and can't mix in another fat source. Price...10/10 very reasonable if you shop around. overall...9.25/10 I still want to try this a few different ways, but so far it gets a 9, with potential for a 10 in the near future. Just so you know my palate is sophisticated enough for you to trust my judgment. The other powders I deal with are Substance WPI, Ergopharm GF Pro, and Ultra Peptide 1.0 |
