Cookie Dough

Went for a change of pace and grabbed some Novus Bars from At Large Nutrition. Sadly, only two flavor choices, cookie dough and chocolate mint. These bars have only one gram of sugar per bar, but 28 grams of sugar alcohol, which left me a bit gassy. The advantage is that you'll get only 3 grams of net carbs for a 338-calorie bar, which is rare. Can't complain about the 36 grams of protein either, with just 6 grams of fat in the entire bar. The protein sources aren't the best - whey concentrate and soy isolate, but it's rare for bars to offer casein, etc. However, the nutritional stats are impressive, with more protein for fewer calories than a Supreme Bar, for instance. Taste-wise, not quite gourmet, but not bad either. Fortified with some vitamins and minerals, overall a solid product.
