I've used this product for quite a while, on random occasions here and there as a sugar substitute. It is a ultra low GI sugar substitute, but still has Calories, as it is a carbohydrate. It is about 60% as sweet as table sugar, and tastes I suppose just like sugar, but again, not as sweet.

It is a fantastic stright-up substitute for white sugar in baking and sweetening coffee and tea. Even better, it is a great addition to an intra-workout cocktail to have a carbohydrate source. Also great as a pre-workout AND post-workout carbohydrate source. It mixes great in most beverages (water, juice, coffee, tea, protein shakes, etc)

As far as safety, it is safe to ingest, but is not recommended over 50g in one serving, or 200g over the whole day. But of course, 200g is quite a lot of carbohydrates (that doesn't have much micro-nutrition to it) so it shouldn't be a problem.

Compared to regular sugar, there wasn't the same immediate burst of energy (sugar high) but the good part of this is that there is no sugar crash at all from SuperCarb.
