Written by soundcheck129 - #1 reviewer - View all my reviews Another on-sale pickup, Englutarade is basically a Gatorade-esque drink except low in carbs and purportedly more beneficial for recovery due to its star ingredient...glutamine. Had I not gotten this for half price I wouldn't have picked it up but I thought it might be beneficial for running. Unfortunately, it's quite low in calories (30 per serving) and thus low in carbs. No BCAAs, just vitamins, Ginkgo, 40 mg of caffeine, quercetin and some electrolytes. A bit of a weird design for a product from a bodybuilding supplement company, but there it is. Recovery may be slightly improved, but when taken prior to exercise as directed, didn't really feel any energy. If nothing else, it was refreshing after workouts, so I guess that counts for something. Flavor and mixability were pretty good, though. Pretty much your standard strawberry-kiwi flavor (like Propel's, if you've had that) and it mixed smoothly. Results 1 - 1 of 1 |
