I'm not one of those guys that uses an NO product every workout, but when I need a boost I have a bottle of NO-Xplode around for that pre workout pick me up. I love xplode, and it gets a pretty bad rap for losing its effectiveness over time. As I said, this is n/a to me as I only take it once in a while, but I did rate it as if I took it every day in terms of developing a tolerance to it.

The reason I enjoy xplode so much is because within 15 minutes of taking it I start getting pumped up, and by the time I get to the gym I'm ready to attack the weights and this energy and pump last throughout my entire workout. Taste leaves something to be desired (I have blue raspberry), but it mixes fine and the benefits are good enough that I will continue to use it.

There are more cost effective products out there, but this works for me and I don't plan on switching, especially because it's not something I use every day.

The key component of NO-Xplode is nitric oxide, a gas that increases blood flow, enhancing nutrient delivery to muscles. In addition, it stimulates the endocrine system, increasing the release of adrenaline. Science aside, No-Xplode really gets you amped for a workout. Pumps were great, focus was intense, and strength seemed to be increased. Unfortunately, the biggest kick probably comes from the caffeine, which you can easily build a tolerance to. If used rarely, though, it will definitely give you the extra energy you need.

Flavorwise, the Blue Raspberry is great, but the Orange is pretty bad.

Who hasn't fallen victim to BSN's impressive marketing? NO-Xplode is probably the first pre-workout enhancer most will try due to its market presence. I am no different.

The first thing I noticed is of course the mixability. It does not fully dissolve and often leaves chunks at the bottom. The only way to get this all down is the mix and immediately drink while it is in suspension. The taste is mediocre. It gets bad at the bottom when you're eating those clumps.

On to the good stuff. The increase in energy and focus comes about 20 minutes after consumption. It's very noticeable and all I wanted to do was lift once this hit me. I had increased energy at the gym and was able to squeak out a few more reps. Noticed a bit more vascularity as well.

The only side effect I noticed was the occasional headache - probably due to the large amounts of caffeine.

Biggest downside to this product is its price. Without mentioning names, there are other pre-workout formulas that are, arguably, much better as well as cheaper.

I bought this supplement closer to the beginning of my working out seriously. I bought the Blue Raspberry flavor. The taste was actually quite good, but a little sweet and sour. If you stir the stuff in water you get unmixed powder at the bottom usually, so its best to shake it (And yes, this is fine to do even though it says not to. The mix is carbonated so be careful to hold the lid tightly). After taking this product, I immediately felt more energetic, but after about 12 days, this effect died down. I didn’t really like the way to product made me feel in the head, it always made me jittery and wired. It was good for getting a good energy boost for the gym, and I did get some good pumps, but the effects didn’t really make this product worth the money at all. It was pricey and I know there are a lot of other products out there that would serve me better.
