I'm a big fan of blended proteins at good prices, so when I saw Champion Met Max for around $20 I decided to give it a shot. I'm also a really big fan of the profile on this - 2 scoops delivers 2.5 grams of fat, just 11 grams of carbohydrates and 41 grams of protein. This may be a little low in calories for a full MRP, but it's good if you're dieting, and you can also easily just mix it in oats. This is a great sustained-release blend, with WPC, beef protein, casein, egg albumen and WPH. There's also added amino acids for recovery. No "designer" fats (MCTs, CLA), but that's not a dealbreaker. The taste is very good, though there are 5 grams of sugar in this, so maybe that's not a surprise. The only drawback is price.

Few companies would dare to make a product like the one Champion Nutrition came out with. Met Max is a collection of ingredients I haven't seen before unless its a Muscletech product. This product has a variety of protein sources, arginine, creatine, nice dose of leucine and other stuff. This product is no joke. The directions say to take 30-45 minutes before training and one hour after it. This is like 82 grams of protein going into your system at a limited time. Without a doubt, you will be packing on some mass. The product mixes pretty good, but it taste terrible. Met-Max taste like chemical vanilla. You can't deny that it has a lot of stuff, but I don't need all of it. I would just be happy with the protein and creatine in it. The price isn't too bad, but I rather have a post-workout product that is cheaper and taste great.
