The clif bar is like a mini protein or carb/energy bar. It is a pretty natural bar, with oats, wheat, fiber, fruits, and all that stuff. The aspects of its nutritional content are all on the low side. Fat is pretty good at just about 5 grams, not much sugar. Accordingly, there is not a whole lot of protein, probably not enough to replace a real protein supplement. It gives you 250 calories, so the energy is not like overload either, just equivalent of like a small snack. i do feel that it is better as a snack rather than a supplement bar, as it just does not have that much stuff in it, but it still tastes good!

The Clif energy bar is one of the best sources of pure energy without much fat, sugars, and other unhealthful substances. Each bar is about 250 calories, which is plenty for a workout, a hike, etc. etc. The ingriedients are all natural, and most of the carbohydrates is whole wheat and other whole grains, which is great. There is barely any fat, only maybe 2 or 3 grams, and only 20 grams of sugar, which is not too much. But this bar packs you 45 g of carbs, 9 of which are fibers great for your body. The bar tastes pretty good, kind of a granola bar. These are great energy bars w/o the unhealthy sugars and fats.

Clif is mainly devoted to two things - natural ingredients and great taste. Both are true, but the value is debatable, as I'm not sure Organic Brown Rice Syrup is any better than HFCS. Regardless, Clif Bars taste pretty good, although they're a bit chewy.

The best flavors are Banana Nut Bread, Cool Mint Chocolate, Crunchy Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin Walnut and the sadly discontinued Lemon Poppyseed.

Nutritional Profile is ok, not really a protein bar per se - only about 10g, coupled with 5g fat and 45g of carbohydrates (21 sugar). Best for pre-workout I'd say.
