I was surprised to see that the original Detour Bars - aka non-Lower Sugar - had just 11 grams of sugar, which is lower than many brands of bars that don't have a lower sugar version. These bars also pack in four grams of fiber, a definite plus. The protein blend is okay, not spectacular, with WPC, WPI, milk protein concentrate and calcium caseinate. I do like the "Glycerlean" complex, which offers CLA, leucine, taurine and glycerine, primarily due to the first two ingredients. Oddly enough, the taste of these bars is not as impressive as the lower-sugar bars, but maybe I'm just too used to sugar alcohols by now. The peanuts are a nice touch, and the consistency of these bars is second to none.
