Written by runningriot - Top 50 reviewer - View all my reviews aside from taste the product as a good profile and protein per serving amount but the taste was just too much for me. maybe i just got a bad batch or sometihng but i highly doubt i will ever buy this whey again, and will most likely stay away from all apple flavored supplements in the future. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful

Written by soundcheck129 - #1 reviewer - View all my reviews This is hands down one of the best tasting wheys I've ever had. Not artificial tasting, not overpowering, but not weak either. Great minty chocolate taste, reminiscent of Andes mints. Solid nutritional profile, less than 1g of saturated fat, low in carbs, a great choice. Thankfully, it is also reasonably priced compared to competitors. Orange Dreamsicle I'm almost disappointed that the Chocolate Mint was so good because that may have added to my disappointment with the Orange Dreamsicle. And it's not because I don't like orange - those orange creamsicles are one of my favorite desserts. This was miles away from that, it tasted at once overly sweet and bitter, an odd and unpleasant combination. The profile is good, but if you have to choke it down, what's the point? 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Written by ponshoe - Top 5 reviewer - View all my reviews Elite Whey its a very good protein to go with, because of its price and taste. Taste: 9/10 I tried ALL the flavors and no one is disgusting, in fact they all taste so good that you dont want to switch. Berry Blast: Decent taste, similar to strawberry, it taste very good but not my favorite. 8/10 Butter Toffee: At first i hated this flavor, but after some serving i got used to it and really loved it, specially with water :S 8/10 Cafe Mocha: THE BEST TASTING, including many other brands, it tastes like real starbuckS and makes you think its loaded with ton of sugars, it can be too sweet but that doesnt ruin the flavor. 10/10 Chocolate Mint: Better than ON Choco mint, strong taste of mint and maybe a lil sweet but you can support it easily. 8/10 Gourmet Vanilla: Decent Vanilla but not that great, something similar to Six star Vanilla. a bit weak. 6/10 Green Apple: Im not a big fan of fruity flavors on proteins i prefer the ''milky'' ones but Green Apple taste so great, more than you can expect, it totally surprised me. 8/10 Orange Dreamiscle: Not bad, not good. Nothing more. 7/10 Pina Colada: AWESOME taste, my second favorite, it taste so good if you blend it with milk and add some ice cubes, like a real pina colada. Maybe some vodka, lol! kidding. 10/10 Rich Chocolate: I prefer way much this Chocolate over ON, its so much more tasty, the taste is strong but not sweet, just exact. 9/10 Smooth Banana: It can taste chemical but i did like it, it smells like gum. There are better ones. 6/10 For price, its one of the cheapest if you search around and the ingredient profile its very decent and competitive. If you want something new, you gotta try this one. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Written by Shardsofglass - Top 50 reviewer - View all my reviews My initial taste test was very disappointing, I mixed up one scoop of powder in 6-8 ounces of water as the directions indicate and was blown away by the aftertaste. I immediately thought I had just wasted $38 on a whey that only certain people seem to really like. As I began trying out different amounts of water and fat free milk the aftertaste all but vanished. In 10 ounces of fat free milk there is barely any noticeable aftertaste and the mint flavoring is very prominent and refreshing, a nice change from the usual chocolate. In 10 ounces of cold water the aftertaste is almost completely gone but the mint flavor is still spot on and the shake is a lot less thick as it is mixed in milk, perfect for post-workout usage when a meal is sure to follow. Mixability is very good in a shaker bottle, in a blender you need only to pulse it a few times and it is completely mixed. Price and ingredient profile is another good drawing point for this protein. It's hard to find a quality whey isolate that is available in 5 pound tubs for this price (usually around $38). |
