Written by ponshoe - Top 5 reviewer - View all my reviews From my experience GNC 100% Whey is poor, the ingredient profile is not a bad one but its more bad than good. The macros i decent for a bulk but for a cut, it makes a doubt. The prices are higher everytime I see them for some reason and the flavors, oh well.. Caramel - 8/10 - Actually for my surprise the Caramel flavor went very good, it surprised me and it exceeded my expectations. Banana - 2/10 - I couldn't and still can't believe how awful this flavor is. Is the worst flavor I've tried from a Whey protein powder. It leaves a bitter, chemical aftertaste so bad, that its almost impossible to get in. When I saw people throwing away their Whey (mixed brands) because of taste, I was like WTF! but now, I understand them very well. In my opinion, this is not worth a shot, MUCH and MANY better options out there. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful

Written by soundcheck129 - #1 reviewer - View all my reviews With 2.5 grams of fat and 5g carbs, this isn't the best choice for Whey, but it will do. The Chocolate Caramel taste is pretty good, just enough sweetness without being overpowering. Points for being unique, as this isn't a flavor I've found elsewhere. However, the worst part, as with all GNC products, is the price. Way more expensive than anything else unless you get it on sale. Banana Cream This has only 1.5g fat and 4g carbs, so a little better profile, but that's not the most important thing. What is? The taste. This is great, strong banana flavor but definite creaminess, tastes just like banana pudding. Solid mixability, even though Joe Bro at GNC told me it was a bit "gritty" (great salesman). Again, overpriced unless on sale - GNC favors the Buy One, Get one 50% off, as it makes you buy more than you wanted, but you end up getting a semi-reasonable price. Cookies and Cream I'm not rich enough to afford Isolate all the time, but when whey starts having five or more grams of carbs per serving I tend to get a little irritated. This has 5, with 20 grams of protein per scoop and 1.5g fat. Not the worst profile ever, but could be better. It doesn't help that the taste of this isn't really all that great. As with all GNC purchases, I got this because I had a coupon, but I'll probably take it back and get a different flavor tomorrow. Results 1 - 4 of 4 |
