Finding cheap casein can be a pretty tough task, so using the one offered by Bodybuilding.com's house brand, Higher Power, is a great option. As with every other casein, this produces thick shakes, but it doesn't chunk up like some other casein products I've used. In addition to the mixability being good, the taste is pretty good as well. It has a slight banana cream feel, which I prefer to the typical candy-like banana flavors. What I like about the flavor is that it isn't overwhelmingly sweet, but it's also not overly muted like some casein flavors. I prefer Higher Power casein to the brand's whey because it is more filling and I prefer the consistency of the shakes. No frills here, so don't expect a blend with whey or the infusion of MCTs, etc. That said, it's a good value for the money - good luck finding a less expensive casein.
