Double Chocolate

Sometimes, roadside convenience stores disappoint you, and on road trips, you can't just stop at every place to try and find an upgrade. Thus, you may be stuck with a Special K Protein Meal Bar. At 170 calories, this isn't the most filling bar ever, but it does have 5 grams of fiber for effort. Just 10 grams of protein but 26 grams of carbohydrates (15 grams of sugar) and 4.5 grams of fat makes this bar less than ideal but not quite a deal-breaker. On the plus side, this bar has a few vitamins and minerals and a high level of tasty flavor, so you can't be too mad. However, it doesn't keep you going for long and the protein sources aren't high quality - soy and skim milk - and the profile isn't too great, as it contains partially hydrogenated oils and most of the fat is saturated. A good alternative to a candy bar, but that's about it.
