There is a seemingly unlimited array of protein bars on the market, so it takes a lot to stand out. Labrada Lean Body Gold Bars manage to do so, however. The biggest surprise is the taste and consistency. If you came upon this bar unwrapped, you would definitely think it was a candy bar. The bars have a delicious, chocolate coating that actually tastes like chocolate as well as a creamy, gooey layer of caramel. The innermost layer has a light peanut taste and fluffy consistency. Surprisingly, despite all of the candy bar-like taste, there's only 9 grams of sugar in this bar and just 8 grams of fat. The 330-calorie bar also contains 30 grams of protein, so the profile is top notch. And with these priced about the same as other bars, there's no contest.
