Rocky Road Cookie Dough

As you might imagine, I got this bar mainly because it sounded delicious. I was willing to look past the subpar ingredient profile - 26 grams of sugar, high fructose corn syrup and lack of fat-burning fats - because the flavor seemed like it'd be blissful. Sadly, it wasn't. This was one of the worst-tasting bars I've ever had, and I'm not sure where the sugar went, because it wasn't sweet at all. There were chunks of marshmallow and chocolate, but none of them tasted like anything. There's really no reason to get this - there's almost as much sugar as protein, and the protein content isn't that high (26 grams) considering the calorie content (380). If you want an MRP with quality ingredients and good taste, I'd grab a ZI bar. This has some redeeming qualities, like vitamins, minerals and the use of protein sources other than whey, but it's not nearly enough to salvage the terrible taste.

met-rx has been around for a while and is a trusted brand by most people so i hate to put out a bad review on one of their products and dont mean for it to be bashing the company in any way but these bars have got to go. sure the ingredients are okay but high fructose corn syrup always sets off an alarm for me, and yeah they do have adequate macros to be an easy meal replacement but these things taste pretty bad. maybe i just have picky taste buds or something because it seems like im hard to please but i recieved the crispy apple pie as a free sample a while back and could hardly finsih the thing. if your looking for a meal replacement or protein bar i suggest looking somewhere else.
