Blue Rasbperry

Obviously, there are plenty of pre-workout choices, so I elected to go with one that's been around for a while. The fact that a large tub was $13 on clearance at GNC did not hurt, either. Anyway, Black Powder has a pretty solid profile, with beta alanine, caffeine, green tea extract, betaine, creatine, MCTs and more. It'd be cool to get some BCAAs, but oh well. Perhaps not optimal for cutting, with 42 calories per scoop, but that's obviously not horrible. I was actually pretty excited about the profile, so I was disappointed that the effects weren't too phenomenal. I did get great pumps and focus for a while, but not as much energy as I was expecting. The mixability is pretty bad, I have yet to find the sweet spot using anywhere from 8 to 20 oz. of water. The taste is similar to what I remember of No-Xplode's Blue Raspberry, although it has a chalky, watered-down element as well. Worth the price I paid, not sure if I'd do full price.
