I was quite surprised to find that something with "smart" in the name was made by MuscleTech, especially because this product seemed pretty well-designed and not totally bro-ed out. These bars aren't the highest in protein, with 20 grams per 270 calories. The bars are high in saturated fat, with 6 grams (9 grams total), but do provide 4 grams of fiber to go along with the 6 grams of sugar and 4 grams of sugar alcohols. Not the best protein blend but not the worst - MPI, WPI and soy, so there's something for everyone. The bars are a bit small for the amount of calories they provide, so Smart bars may not be smart for cutting diets. Despite the lack of overwhelming amounts of sugar and sugar alcohols, these tasted pretty good. Nice candy-ish consistency and rich chocolate flavor - gotta love that saturated fat.
