Wild Berry Burst

Aftershock is a recovery product, combining 32 grams of protein with 30g carbs and 3g fat. Alone, it's not enough for my PWO needs, but it's a good start. I like the fact that the carbohydrates are from complex, varied sources, notably a fruit powder blend. What I can't be enthusiastic about, though, is the taste. This is fruity, but it tastes quite tart and unpleasant...could not finish.

Orange Avalanche

The nutritional profile is the same, but the taste is much better with this one. Not the greatest, but a pleasant orange cream, I'll take it.

I tried the tropical typhoon flavor of this. I'll just go ahead and say that the flavor could be worse... it was ok, but not good by any means. The mixability was good, BUT it was really foamy and hard to get all of the liquid with all that foam sitting on top. As far as the ingredient profile, it is pretty decent. Has everything you need in a post workout with a good amount of carbs and protein and low fat. It could have included more carbs, but I personally like the amount of protein in it. This post workout recovery powder also has bcaa's, creating, glutamine, and joint repair, all at a decent price.

Myogenix has entered the post-workout with Aftershock. The first thing you notice about this product is the protein source is whey isolate. This is amazing and I like the fast that it contains this. It also includes creatine for recovery as well as the branched amino acids that you need after a tough workout. I took a sample packet which is half a serving in 6 oz of water. The flavor is Tropical Typhoon and it mixed pretty easy with a spoon. The hard part is trying to describe the flavor. It is tropical, but there is not a significant flavor. The taste could be a lot better, but that is not of most importance. Hard to give a yes or no on this product, but it was decent.
