5-HTP is touted as a weight-loss and sleep aid product, as well as an anxiety reducer. It's supposed to curb your appetite, but I have not experienced that, which is good, because I like eating. It works by increasing serotonin, and it does work as a sleep aid. Anxiety seems reduced slightly as well. It has basically no reported side effects, and is reasonably priced.
