With all of the attention given to Syntha-6, Ultra Peptide 2.0 and Muscle Milk, the fact that ON has a similar MRP on the market is often overlooked - and that's a shame.

Nitro Core 24 has a similar profile to Syntha-6, with 5g fat, 14g carbs and 24g protein per serving. The shake mixes up quite thick (just the way I like it), partly due to the micellar casein, one of a plethora of protein sources in Nitro Core 24. With slowly and quickly digesting protein sources, it's great anytime.

The "Sensational" Cinnamon Bun lives up to its name - not overly sweet, but it tastes great and is reminiscent of a sticky bun. Great by itself, amazing in oatmeal. And, perhaps surprisingly, the 6lb tub is very attractive cost-wise, especially when compared with the competition.

After the greatness of the Cinnamon Bun, I decided to roll the dice with the Extreme Cookies and Cream. Unfortunately, the only extreme part was how disappointed I was with the flavor. The taste was nothing like cookies or cream and it also featured the awful chemical taste that ON is occasionally known for.

Finally, I tracked down the Caramel Toffee Fudge, and I am not disappointed. The taste is a bit weird, kind of a caramel-latte kind of flavor, but it is delicious. A nice chocolate undertone and it stands up well even in a cup or more of oats.

Optimum's NitroCore 24 is the real deal. Protein comes from ten different top notch sources with each serving providing 24 grams of muscle building protein. It includes fiber and other goodies for easier digestion. The flavor I got was Caramel Toffee Fudge and I was not disappointed. I took one scoop and mixed it with 8 ounces of milk in a shaker. Mixing was a piece of cake with little to no clumps. The flavor was top notch. It was a level with BSN's Syntha 6 and Cytosport's Muscle Milk. NitroCore 24 is that great ladies and gentlemen. You can take it anytime you like. I took it before my workout or as a part of my post-workout shake. You can get a 3 lb container of it for 28.99 which gives you 28 servings. I recommend it.

Yet another protein blend from a reputable company, needless to say I was dying to try this one and it certainly did not disappoint. Starting with the formula, I would compare it very closely to BSN's Syntha 6. It includes 5g of dietary fiber, healthy fats, and a blend of slow and quick releasing proteins. This makes it ideal to take at any time of the day, which I like to do. It's a good intra-day protein, and it makes a decent choice for pre-bed as well.

As far as taste goes, this has one of the best strawberry flavors I've ever had. I do normally test strawberry as it is a flavor that can either be very good or very bad. ON did a good job here, nailing the strawberry. Mixability is great as well, throw it in a shaker and it's perfect.

Overall, if you're looking for a blend that you can take anytime take a look here, you won't be disappointed.

Smell: Open it up and bam as usual smells AMAZING

Taste: Honestly, this is the shizz, the taste is awesome, sweet but not too sweet, nicely cinnamony but not too overpowering

Mixability: 10/10 awesome

Texture: Awesome 10/10

Profile: Has to be 10/10, 5g of healthy fats, 5g fibre, 24g protein from 10 SOURCES

Over all: I cant find Anything wrong with this just awesome 10/10, price could be a little lower
