Turbo Chocolate

It's always a race to be bigger, faster and stronger, so ON decided to focus on faster with the new Platinum Hydrowhey. This is supposed to be the "fastest and purest" protein you can get, and with the obscene price tag, I'd hope so. IT has 8.8g BCAAs per 30g protein serving, with only one gram of fat and two grams of carbohydrates. There's zero lactose which is always nice too.

Mixability was very impressive, although taste left a bit to be desired. It tasted a lot like cocoa powder (which is an ingredient), which is kind of good, but kind of bad because it had that same bitter taste that cocoa powder often has, probably due to the lack of sugars.

Optimum Nutrition had been hyping this product for months before the Olympia. I along with many others figured it would be a hydrolyzed whey which is the fastest absorbing protein on the market today. The thing that separates it from others is the increasing difficulty of flavoring it. This product mixes easy in a shaker or a cup. The taste of Turbo Chocolate is amazing while Vanilla is decent. If you add two table scoops of sugar to Turbo Chocolate, you would think your drinking Cytofuse Chocolate. The profile of the product is not bad, but they leave out the hydrolysis % and the ratio of di and tri pepties. The higher these number, the more quality it is and also the harder to flavor. AEN Intrabolic and Gaspari SizeOnV2 do state these. I don't see why its a secret not too, because companies are sometimes copycats. This is a solid product, but 20 scoops of protein at $29.99 is high. This is not for the average lifter, but for the real serious lifter. I think I would be sufficient with a whey isolate instead of this.
