Written by soundcheck129 - #1 reviewer - View all my reviews ON markets this bar as "an alternative to a bowl of oatmeal and a protein shake," but it's a bit different - better in some ways, worse in others. It's better thanks to the extended release blend - not many bars have casein, WPI, wheat protein isolate and egg albumen to keep you anabolic for hours. The bars are also pretty low in fat, with 5 grams per 300 calorie bar. The protein content is okay, at 21 grams, and there are 42 grams of carbohydrates (mostly oats). For a bar this size, it's impressive that there's only 8 grams of sugar as well. I like the complex carbohydrates and fruit - it makes this seem more like real food than a protein bar. It also has a pretty good taste, kind of like a fruity yogurt with granola swirled in. Or...like a bowl of oatmeal and a protein shake. Damn. They were right. Results 1 - 1 of 1 |
