I know what you're thinking. WTF, another protein bar review? Do you eat ANY real food? The answer to both of those questions is yes. However, I've been working too much lately, so I've found myself chomping down more protein bars than usual. Anyway.

As one of the few people who found the original PowerBars palatable, I figured the ProteinPlus would be a good choice. Not too expensive, quite large, and a decent profile - 300 cals, 23g protein, 6g fat. The Chocolate PB and Vanilla Yogurt flavors are nothing to write home about, but these are far from the worst bars I've ever eaten. I guess the worst thing about them is the 19g of sugar (including the dreaded HFCS), but it does result in a nice lift in the energy department, and the bars are pretty filling.
