Written by yCat - View all my reviews Last summer I tried it for the first time while cutting over a two month period. I really enjoyed it and have since purchased 5 tubs of it, all different flavors, for current and future use. Lemonaid was my first flavor to try. At first I didn’t like the idea of drinking anything besides water while working out due to my weak stomach, but it actually went down really well and I experienced no discomfort. Since, ive tried watermelon and grape and they taste amazing as well. Xtend has a ton of BCAAs in each serving which help fight catabolism while in a calorie restricted state. I found it gave me much more energy and the endurance needed to run longer and harder during my cut. I will never run without it now. It tastes so great that I have to stop myself from drinking it when im sitting around at home. Overall this is an amazing product and is defiantly worth the try. It comes in large tubs and small tubs so there is no excuse for not giving it a try! 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful

Written by tigerstyle - Top 50 reviewer - View all my reviews The cost of this supplement is very affordable. When compared with bulk bcaa's it comes pretty close. Then when you add in the fact that it's flavored and bulk bcaa's taste VERY BAD, and has l-glutamine and citrulline malate, you can't argue about the cost. Although, I do turn to Bulk BCAA when im short on cash. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Written by blw_brown - Top 50 reviewer - View all my reviews It's muscle sparring abilities are amazing. If you bust your butt everyday in the gym then this product is definitly for you, especially if you are cutting, it's muscle recovery features are good also, Not sore the next day at all!! This product will definitly continue to be a staple in my supplement stash and is well worth the money! 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful

Written by phrozen5100 - Top 5 reviewer - View all my reviews This product is an intra workout produce whose primary purpose is that of muscle sparing. If you're just a casual gym goer, this may not mean much. However, if you bust your butt off bulking to gain muscle, then you're probably not going to want to lose that precious muscle come cut time. My first cut proved to be catastrophic as far as muscle loss went, but this time around I've not lost any noticeable amounts of muscle. Maybe it's the Xtend, maybe not, but why take the risk? Although it's mainly used for muscle sparing, I've also seen some users 'mega-dose' this product. Consumption of BCAAs as well as carbohydrates between meals has been shown to be more anabolic than meals alone, so mega-dosing may very well be effective. I've only tried the old grape flavor and watermelon so far, but they both tasted absolutely amazing for a BCAA product. Those of you who have tried straight BCAA powder can surely appreciate this. Scivation has more flavors including apple and orange that look equally tempting. This product is a heck of a value at some of the current prices for which it can be had. The initial price may seem high, but it lasts a surprisingly long time under normal use. If you're planning a cut or are simply concerned about muscle conservation, then be sure to check out this product. Edit - I've now tried Apple, the new and improved Grape, Orange and Lemonade. My flavor rankings: 1. Apple - This tastes absolutely amazing. Think Jolly Rancher in a healthy liquid form, and that's exactly what this tastes like. 2. Grape - This tastes very good, but it somehow tastes a little less like a grape than the prior version and much more like candy. 3. Watermelon - It doesn't really compare to the other two, but it does taste pretty decent. 4. Lemonade - Go Apple or go home. This tastes alright, but certainly not Apple or Grape good. 5. Orange - Leaves the throat feeling a little odd. If I had to choose one flavor to not recommend, this is the one! |
