If you thought you'd had the shadiest budget whey protein, think again - Six Star Muscle's Professional Strength whey protein outdoes even Body Fortress. Despite being marketed as a whey protein, this is nearing MRP status, with 9 g of carbohydrates in each scoop. The serving provides 150 calories, 2 g of fat and 25 g of protein, so the profile isn't ideal. I could accept that it if it had some added goodies, like MCTs or a blend of extended release proteins. However, that's not the case - you get WPC and WPI, nothing exciting there. The highlight of this protein powder was the mixability (never a good sign). It mixed well, but unfortunately, the taste wasn't anything to get excited about. Kind of a chemical taste, a bit bitter, really. Price isn't even attractive, as it comes in 2 lb tubs. Do not recommend.
