Written by soundcheck129 - #1 reviewer - View all my reviews Universal's Ultra Whey Pro is not the best whey on the market but it's not bad. The profile could be better, with 3.5 grams of carbohydrates, 1.5 grams of fat and 22 grams of protein; most wheys have more protein and fewer carbohydrates, but it's just a few grams either way. I mainly bought this because of the price ($32), though it looks like it has been raised since (now $38.99 for 5lbs). I wanted to get a Cookies and Cream that actually tasted like, um, cookies and cream, and this is pretty good. Way better than GNC or ON's, but not quite as good as Muscle Milk (which can't really be compared due to profile differences). The mixability is good, not as thick as I like, but the taste and price carry this one. Interesting note - this is one of the only (if not the only) CnC-flavored whey I've found without HFCS, if you're into that sort of thing. Results 1 - 1 of 1 |
